Big Beef Music Review

By Swank

Uber MonFrom time to time everyone likes a change in the style, tenor, and speed of the music typically played. After weeks of mellow music and techno style tunes I am providing a change for all of you faithful Big Beef and Beer devotees. The music is heavy metal music with a twist of techno. The album is Sehnsucht by Rammstein, an old country band (the old country to my ancestors who came over in the late 1800's) from Germany. This album was released in 1997 under the Motor Music label overseas and marketed in the U.S. by PolyGram Records, Inc.

The music is innovative in the use of the techno style and other sounds. But the part that is the best is the hard rock /metal guitar riffs that permeate every song. The force of the riffs are amplified by lyrics sung roughly in German. The Rammstein sound is what I would consider the epitome of heavy metal angry style music. I must admit I only took one semester of German so I am not sure what any of the lyrics mean, click on the following link to see them translated English lyrics.

Uber Live!
The Live Album

I recommend this album exclusively for those who like heavy metal music as their primary choice or as an alternative choice for music. I do not recommend it to anyone who dislikes or is not at all interested in heavy metal. (Britney Spears fans are right out.) As a result, I rate this album 3 BB & B's - it is great for heavy metal fans but that leaves out a lot of music lovers.

Visit CdNow and listen to the Sehnsucht album or one of Rammstein's other albums. Of particular note is there live concert album. The album is on sale at CdNow for 12.99.

Ranking:   out of 5 BB&B's.
