This is a repost of our favorite Christmas albums of all time
If you’re still fumbling around trying to find some great Christmas music for your holiday parties, here are some excellent last minute Christmas albums to make your celebration great this year.
Merry Christmas by Mariah Carey – Mimi and Glitter may have made her the most annoying pop star ever, but this is still a great Christmas album. The album features beautiful renditions of Christmas traditionals like “Silent Night” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” plus the best version ever of “All I Want for Christmas is You.” I wouldn’t say no.
Christmas With The Rat Pack – Frank, Dean, and Sammy do Christmas like no others. This album features campy Christmas tunes with Rat Pack flare. A nice version of “Auld Lang Syne” is included to wrap up your New Year’s Eve festivities and welcome 2010.
A Charlie Brown Christmas – No holidays are more nostalgic than Christmas and New Year’s Eve. No other album will bring back more Christmas memories than A Charlie Brown Christmas. For the most part, this is a relaxing Jazz album, but if you’re ready to see some funky dancing, let “Linus and Lucy” blast through your sound system.
These are all available as MP3 downloads, so there’s no waiting.
If you need something nice for a romantic evening, check out Jazz to the WorldIt may be the sexiest Christmas album ever. I originally reviewed it ten years ago. It’s a sexy, romantic version of your favorite Christmas songs. I couldn’t find it in a downloadable format anywhere. You can get the CD through Amazon. It’s too late for Christmas, but you can still share it with someone special before the season is over.
