Brewery Employees Can’t Drink on Job
Boo hoo hoo! Carlsberg Beer brewery employees in Denmark are no longer allowed to drink on the job according to a story on the Reuter’s news service. Instead, they’ll only be able to get beer at lunch. Free beer dispensers around the brewery have been removed.
To get their right to drink back, brewery employees have gone on strike. Their brethren in the warehouse and driving trucks have retained their right to their free beer, but have gone on strike anyway in sympathy. The trade union is looking into the matter.
In case you were worried about drunk delivery drivers running amok all over Copenhagen, don’t worry: “Carlsberg’s trucks have alcohol locks so drivers would not be able to drink too much and drive.” What a relief!
